While Shark's usually a jerk with little regard for others, today he can actually be found at the memorial that Kotori had set up for Heartland, outside of SAI, at the base of a tree.

He figured, well, if there's any time for him to take a look at it, now's the time, huh?*

*Stood beside him is Kotori, who seems to be carrying a small bouquet of flowers, purple lilies to be exact. It looks like they had decided to visit the memorial as well.*

*he looks over at them when Yuma says his name, but then looks away*

The memorial is here for all of us, after all.

*She steps forward and crouches down to lay the purple lilies by the memorial. Yuma stands beside Shark and watches her silently as she does so.*

It's fine. I'm not one for crowds. And three's a crowd.

*he does go silent for a moment though*

I guess I'm surprised you did make a memorial at all for this.

It's not something I would've thought to do.

But I guess if we're being realistic, I'm also not the overly sympathetic type.

Hm. Originally the idea was brought up to me by the person who runs the Spirit Arcadia Institute.

*She gestures towards the large nearby building.*

I mentioned to Juudai-san how the lack of closure on what happened had been difficult, so he gave me the plaque of wood, told me to decorate it how I wanted and that we could place a memorial here outside SAI, so we had a place to go to when we felt we needed it.

I've been taking care of it ever since.

*looks mildly surprised at the name*

"Juudai"? Do you mean "Yuuki Juudai"? The guy who was just in the big Action Tournament here? The former Pro?

Yeah!! He runs this place and he's the guy who helped my family find a place to live after they escaped Heartland.

Count me surprised. What'd you do to get the attention of a guy like that?

I got involved in a loooot of weird stuff.

... Not counting what happened with Heartland, huh.

Yeah, not counting that. I'd already gotten involved with a bunch of weird stuff before that happened.

So they really did make a memorial.

They had no reason to lie about it, did they?

No, just it's kinda. "Huh". ... Do you think we could trust her at all?

It's not a point of thinking we can trust her or not. If she does anything that suggests otherwise, then I'll deal with it.

But right now, she seems pretty sincere.

And still not a sign of any of them. Then again, after that attack, they'd probably be hiding.

I feel like we're walking around in circles at the moment.

::Sighs frustrated.::

We're walking around in circles, but I feel like we're at least a bit closer to figuring things out than we were when we were finishing up classes back at school.

It's marginal, though.

Still, we need to find something more than marginal, or we'll be skeletons.

I guess it depends on what we figure they want.

If we advertise ourselves being from Heartland, you think they might want to come out to pick off the stragglers?

Possibly, but it might be a bit too on the nose, Ryoga. And that might encourage them to stay away.
